IyerSpine.com is the official website for Dr. Sravisht "Chevy" Iyer, a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon practicing at Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City. Our website provides:

2) SMS consent and opt-in

⚡ IMPORTANT: SMS Messaging Consent

When you log into the patient portal for the first time, you will be presented with an SMS consent screen. By checking the "Yes, I agree to receive SMS text messages" option on that screen, you expressly consent to receive SMS text messages from IyerSpine.com / Dr. Sravisht Iyer's practice / Neurantra LLC at the mobile phone number you provide.

Types of SMS text messages you will receive:

  • Security verification codes (OTP) - One-time passwords for two-factor authentication when logging into your patient portal
  • Account security alerts - Notifications about login attempts, password changes, or security-related events
  • Important administrative notices - Critical updates regarding your patient account access, appointment reminders, or practice updates

Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your account activity. You may receive 1-5 messages per month for login verification and occasional administrative notices. We will not send promotional or marketing messages.

Consent is voluntary and not required. SMS text messaging opt-in is completely optional and provided for your convenience and enhanced security. You may decline SMS and use email verification instead. Opting out of SMS will not affect your ability to use the patient portal or receive medical care from Dr. Iyer's practice.

Your explicit consent: By checking the consent box and providing your mobile phone number, you authorize IyerSpine.com / Dr. Sravisht Iyer's practice / Neurantra LLC to send automated SMS text messages to the mobile number you provide. You understand and agree that:

  • Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services
  • Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message
  • You can get help by replying HELP or contacting our office

3) Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on usage. Typical SMS volume is low and occurs when you log in or request verification. Email volume is limited to account setup and important administrative notices.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

5) How to opt out (SMS)

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time. To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any SMS from us. You will receive a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed.

After you opt out, you will no longer receive SMS verification codes. You can still access your patient portal using email verification instead.

7) Privacy and sensitive information

We strive to keep SMS and email content limited and avoid including sensitive medical details in text messages. Do not send highly sensitive personal or medical information by SMS.

8) Security verification codes

Verification codes are time-limited and are used to help secure access to the patient portal. Never share your verification code with anyone.

9) Supported carriers and delivery

Delivery is subject to carrier availability and network conditions. We cannot guarantee delivery in all situations.
